Gaskets, Gasket Sheets & Gland Packing – Manufactured by Sealmax in India
Sealmax Global Pvt. Ltd. is an ISO 9001:2015 certified gasket manufacturer based in Vasai, Mumbai. Our own Sealmax range covers PTFE gaskets and sheets, spiral wound gaskets, graphite gaskets, non-asbestos gasket sheets, rubber gaskets and braided gland packing for pumps and valves. Standard sizes are available ex-stock from our factory, and custom gaskets are cut to your drawing.
PTFE Gaskets & Sheets
PTFE (Teflon) is the first choice for aggressive chemical service. Choose the grade to match your flange and media:
- Virgin PTFE sheets, gaskets, rods and bushes (Style 9900) – FDA-conform, chemical resistant up to 260°C.
- 25% glass filled PTFE / GFT (Style 9900G) – better creep and wear resistance than virgin PTFE.
- Expanded PTFE (soft PTFE) gaskets and sheets (Style 9909) – conforms to uneven or damaged flanges.
- Expanded PTFE joint sealant tape (Style 9909T) – self-adhesive tape for large or irregular flanges.
PTFE Envelope Gaskets
Envelope gaskets combine a PTFE outer jacket with a compressible insert, giving chemical resistance with better sealability. We make all three types: slit type (940S) for general chemical duty, mill type (940M) machined from solid PTFE, and diffusion barrier type (940D) for aggressive media where permeation is a concern.
Spiral Wound & Graphite Gaskets
For refineries, petrochemical plants and high-temperature steam lines, our spiral wound gaskets (Style 930) are made to ASME B16.20 with graphite or PTFE filler. Our pure expanded graphite sheets and gaskets (Style 920) are 98% carbon purity and rated up to 450°C. For higher pressure or easier handling, choose graphite with SS plain insert (920Pi) or graphite with SS tanged insert (920Ti).
Non-Asbestos (CNAF) & Aramid Gasket Sheets
Compressed non-asbestos fibre sheets are the general-purpose choice for oils, fuels, water and low-pressure steam.

Rubber Gaskets & Sheets
We supply rubber gaskets and sheets cut to size in every common elastomer: EPDM rubber for water, steam and outdoor service; food grade nitrile (NBR) rubber for oils and fuels; neoprene (chloroprene) rubber for weather and refrigerant resistance; food grade silicone rubber for pharma, dairy and food plants; and Viton (FKM) rubber for aggressive chemicals and high temperatures.
Gland Packing for Pumps & Valves
Our braided gland packings cover graphite, PTFE, aramid and carbon fibre constructions:
- Graphite gland packing (Style 900) – low-sulphur with corrosion inhibitor; also available with Inconel wire (900I) or SS wire insert (902SS).
- Pure expanded PTFE packing (Style 916) – FDA-conform, for chemical, food and pharma service.
- PTFE packing with aramid corners (906) and graphited PTFE packing with aramid corners (908) – for pumps handling abrasives.
- Aramid packing with PTFE impregnation – Style 904 and Style 907 – for slurry and abrasive media.
- Carbon fibre packing with graphite (903) – for high-speed pumps.
- Expanded graphited PTFE packing (927) and extruded PTFE rope (922).

FAQs
Which gasket material should I use for chemical service?
PTFE is the most chemically resistant gasket material. Use expanded PTFE for uneven flanges, glass filled PTFE where creep is a concern, and PTFE envelope gaskets for glass-lined or fragile flanges.
What is the difference between graphite and PTFE gaskets?
Graphite handles much higher temperatures (up to 450°C for our Style 920) and is preferred for steam and hydrocarbons. PTFE (up to 260°C) is preferred where chemical resistance or food-grade compliance matters most.
When should I use a spiral wound gasket?
Spiral wound gaskets are used on raised-face flanges in high-pressure, high-temperature and cyclic service, such as refinery and petrochemical piping.
What is graphite gland packing?
Graphite gland packing is a braided rope of expanded graphite used to seal pump shafts and valve stems. It offers excellent heat resistance and thermal conductivity.
