Sealmax Style 916 – 100% Pure Expanded PTFE
Sealmax Style 916 is braided from 100% pure Expanded PTFE yarn and lubricated with silicone oil.
Style 916 is a very malleable packing with a low coefficient of friction, does not cause shaft wear, and offers excellent chemical resistance. The packing is easy to install and requires minimal gland adjustment during operation.
Style 916 is designed for valves and low to medium shaft speed applications under moderate pressure in food processing, pharmaceutical, paper mills, and fibre plants where high purity and corrosion resistance are required.
Style 916 can be used with chemically aggressive and high-purity media.
The extremely low coefficient of friction of Style 916 provides excellent dry-running properties. Due to the dense structure and high pliability of the packing, superior sealability is achieved with minimal gland pressure. Additionally, the material complies with FDA requirements.
