Sealmax Style 903 – Carbon Fibre impregnated with Graphite
Sealmax Style 903 is braided from high-strength carbon fiber yarn, impregnated with graphite and a corrosion inhibitor. It offers good flexibility, efficient heat dissipation, and a very low coefficient of friction. The packing provides excellent chemical and thermal stability.
Style 903 is recommended for use as top and end rings in combination with Style 900 to prevent gap extrusion of softer flexible graphite packing.
Style 903 can be used in pumps and valves operating under high pressure and high temperature conditions, including boiler feed pumps, mixers, and refiners. It is suitable for pulp and paper, chemical, and power industries.
Style 903 can be used with cold and hot water, hot gases, alcohols, solvents, heat transfer agents, etc.
Style 903 is a cost-effective, high-quality all-round packing. Due to its coefficient of thermal expansion being similar to steel, minimal gland adjustments are required during operation.
Style 903 is not suitable for highly concentrated corrosive acids.
