Weld Ring Gasket Type S [1.4571]
Weld Ring Gaskets are special sealing elements that are used for maximum tightness in particularly demanding applications. They are made of metal and are permanently integrated into a flange connection by welding. This enables them to withstand extreme pressure, high temperatures and aggressive media. They are a proven solution, particularly in chemical and energy technology, when conventional sealing systems reach their limits and/or continuous operation of the system needs to be guaranteed in the long term.

Welding the weld ring halves creates a permanent and gas-tight connection. On the one hand, this ensures the required high level of operational safety and continuity, but on the other hand, it is still possible to loosen the flange connection by separating the sealing weld.
IDT Weld Ring Gaskets “Version S” are manufactured for standard pipe connections in accordance with DIN 2695:2021-06 or customized according to drawings. Weld Ring Gaskets consist of 2 identical ring halves [individual elements] manufactured with high precision, which are welded onto the flange surfaces and welded together after the flange halves have been positioned.
For special applications, Weld Ring Gaskets can also be manufactured with an additional auxiliary gasket [profile SW19] or with a hollow lip [type SW20].
The thickness of an individual element is 15 mm [height of the entire Weld Ring Gasket = 30 mm]. Weld Ring Gaskets are generally made from the same or a similar material as the pipe or flange.
