Tube Expansion Joint [pipeline installation]

Fabric expansion joints are flexible connecting elements in pipeline and duct systems that compensate for movements, vibrations and stresses. They are made of heat- and chemical-resistant fabrics and are mainly used in industry [e.g. power plants]. Fabric expansion joints improve the service life of pipe systems, reduce noise and enable flexible adaptation to thermal expansion and mechanical loads.

This Tube Expansion Joint is installed directly on the pipe ends. It is suitable for round or oval cross-sections. For square cross-sections, fixing strips must be used and the duct wall must be drilled.

In the event of negative pressure, it must be taken into account that the expansion joint bellows pulls inwards and narrows the flow cross-section. Support rings must be used in this case.

As the clamping point assumes the medium temperature, the maximum temperature is 350 °C. Up to sizes of Ø 700 mm to 800 mm, fastening is carried out using multi-part hose clamps. For larger diameters, flange fastening should be used due to the higher tightness.
