Sealmax Style 927 – Expanded Graphited PTFE
Sealmax Style 927 is diagonally braided from pure expanded PTFE yarn with incorporated graphite and lubricated with silicone oil. The packing combines the suppleness and chemical resistance of expanded PTFE with the low coefficient of friction and excellent heat dissipation provided by graphite.
This makes Style 927 one of the most widely used packings for demanding sealing applications.
Style 927 is suitable for pumps, valves, mixers, and agitators, particularly in services involving high peripheral speeds and elevated temperatures where pure PTFE packings are inadequate.
Style 927 is suitable for most chemical applications, with the exception of molten alkali metals, fluorine, nitric acid, and other strong oxidizing agents.
Style 927’s extremely wide application range allows replacement of multiple packing styles, helping to reduce inventory and stock levels.
