Silicone Rubber (Food Grade) is a high-purity, non-toxic elastomer specifically formulated for applications requiring direct contact with food and potable water. It exhibits excellent thermal stability, flexibility and resistance to ageing, while remaining odorless, tasteless and physiologically inert.
The material complies with FDA 21 CFR 177.2600 and applicable food-contact regulations, making it suitable for hygienic and sanitary environments. It maintains elasticity over a wide temperature range and offers good to ozone, UV radiation and weathering.
Silicone rubber gaskets and seals are particularly suitable for applications involving extreme temperatures, low pressure and static sealing where long service life and material stability are required.
