Baffle Seal [sealing on both sides]

Baffle Seals are essential components in heat exchangers. They seal the design-related gap between the heat exchanger wall and the longitudinal baffle of the tube bundle, thus preventing the mixing of media flows and ensuring the optimum thermal efficiency of the system.

Manufactured from high-quality, temperature and pressure-resistant materials, IDT baffle seals offer a long service life and high resistance to chemical influences. They make a decisive contribution to the operational reliability, energy efficiency and performance of heat exchangers in industrial applications. Performance losses of heat exchangers due to gaps caused by design, operation or maintenance can therefore be significantly reduced.

The double-sided sealing variant is layered from 1-4 sheets [standard 1.4401/1.4404] as required and fixed to the longitudinal baffle via the lamella carrier. IDT baffle seals can be manufactured in any length according to the user’s specifications [on request]. As standard, baffle seals are manufactured with insertion widths of 4-25 mm – the standard widths of the lamellas are 20 mm or 30 mm.
